Our Activities

Sukhe Dukkhe Organisation was founded in 2010 by a group of young and old persons. The group was formed to fulfill the dream of a better life for children, a better life for aged persons, and elevation of women living below poverty line by creating self help group in this country. Walt Disney once said: 'Our greatest natural resource is the minds of our children.' Keeping this in mind, Sukhe Dukkhe Organisation took an initiative and undertook a unique Edu-Care project for street and poor children in its registered office.

Sukhe Dukkhe Organisation has been continuously implementing its various programs for socio-economic development in its area of operation.
Sukhe Dukkhe Organisation believes that education is true means of socio-economic and intellectual advancement of the society. Every child deserves primary education and every woman basic education, irrespective of caste, religion or socio-economic background.
We have started an Edu-care Project for underprivileged children from nursery to higher classes at our Registered office 13/B, Santi Ghosh Street Kolkata- 700 003 every evening. We are teaching the students of various classes the pre-schooling and after schooling studies from Monday to Sunday so that they can comfortable in their classes from home work and extra curricular activities. We are also teaching them singing, dancing, works of art & craft, drama and recitation.

Women have always been marginalized and relegated to the status of subjugated class in the Indian society. Due to lack of specific implementation of plans, local communities especially women have remained outside the scope and benefits of government schemes and programs specially if they are physically handicapped. Sukhe Dukkhe Organisation is giving a vocational training on knitting to the sightless girls.

Women have not actively participated in their emancipation due to their lack of economic independence and illiteracy. There is a need to address the issue by raising the status of women. The key lies in women empowerment through economic self-sufficiency and higher awareness levels on social, political and legal issues through mobilization. There is also a need to recognize and emphasize the diverse roles of women such as reproductive, productive and community management. Women should be organized and strengthened at the grass root level to end their subordination. Sukhe Dukkhe Organisation is making an attempt in that direction to make rural women self sufficient through various skill training programs.
