Tuesday 8 April 2014

Sukhe Dukkhe Organisation is running an Edu-Care Project for under privileged children in our society since last 3 years. We are providing them proper education according to their school syllabus. From Nursery to class X there are 18 students who are coming regularly to our classes to learn their lessons after school. They are basically staying on the pavement in temporary shed. The father of the students are either working as helper of mason or van & cycle rickshaw puller. Their mothers are working as domestic helper in the local houses.

Due to their family’s poor financial conditions they can’t afford to admit in a good standard school in Bengali medium. Unfortunately the standard of those schools, in which they are reading, is very poor and the benefits, which should be derived from school, is much inferior comparing to other standard schools where other affluent students are reading. They have no such resources to take private tuition.

We are guiding them and teaching them the school syllabus which they are reading. Morale of those under privileged students is also very low due to their living atmosphere. There are no motivations as well as no scope to learn extracurricular activities. We are giving them every seasonal foods and boiled egg thrice in a week. We are taking classes of computer, drawing, and recitation. We are teaching the girl students dance and making various programs to make them confident through their performance. We are giving them new dresses at the time of big festival Durga Puja and also educational tour is arranged every year for them.

All those were not possible without the help of the members of the society and well wishers who are contributing for those students in our fund. But resources of funds are very limited. Contributions from well wishers are based mainly from the help of our familiar persons and friends. We need more helps to continue the development of those students. Some contributions of yours can keep alive those activities to eradicate social evil around those students.
