Today is world Disabled Day.
World Disabled Day is observed every year on 3 December. Also known as “International Day of Persons with Disabilities”, the day aims to promote an awareness of disability issues and the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities. It is important to integrate disabled persons in the main stream of society. Disabled persons are often discriminated against and that is never an ideal condition. Society must take adequate steps to involve persons with disabilities in the main stream of each aspect of the social, political, economic and cultural status of their communities.
We at Sukhe Dukkhe are committed to the cause of spreading awareness so that the society should extend the support for these differently able persons. We, with our limitations, are trying to help them to achieve some socio-economic independence. With all the supports from our members and well wishers, we are sure to add more programmes in future addressing these people who are constantly struggling and proving themselves more able than any normal person.
