WORLD DISABLED DAY

Today is world Disabled Day.

World Disabled Day is observed every year on 3 December. Also known as “International Day of Persons with Disabilities”, the day aims to promote an awareness of disability issues and the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities. It is important to integrate disabled persons in the main stream of society. Disabled persons are often discriminated against and that is never an ideal condition. Society must take adequate steps to involve persons with disabilities in the main stream of each aspect of the social, political, economic and cultural status of their communities.

We at Sukhe Dukkhe are committed to the cause of spreading awareness so that the society should extend the support for these differently able persons. We, with our limitations, are trying to help them to achieve some socio-economic independence. With all the supports from our members and well wishers, we are sure to add more programmes in future addressing these people who are constantly struggling and proving themselves more able than any normal person.

WE DID NOT FORGET THE OBJECTS AND MISSIONS OF OUR SUKHE DUKKHE ORGANISATION. WE ALWAYS TRY OUR BEST WITH OUR LIMITED RESOURCES TO HELP THE UNDER PRIVILEGED PERSONS IN OUR SOCIETY.

WE ARE DOING THIS PROGRAM AGAIN TO REMEMBER THOSE AGED PERSONS WHO ARE SPENDING THEIR DAYS IN THIS OLD AGE HOME ALONE AND IN A HANDFUL OF FOOD.

WE SHALL GIFT THEM SHAWL AND SCARF AND ARRANGE THEIR LUNCH.

SO COME AGAIN TO HELP THEM TO SEE A SMILE BETWEEN THE LIPS OF THEM.

Our program for distribution of new dresses on the occasion of Durga Puja to the students of Edu-care project was held on 18.9.2011 and very much successful in view of the spirit and enthuse of the participant and donors.

SOME CONTRIBUTION FOR NEW DRESSES OF POOR AND STREET CHILDREN

THE BIGGEST FESTIVAL OF BENGAL IS DURGA PUJA. WE ARE CELEBRATING THIS FESTIVAL IN MANY WAYS SUCH AS TOURING, EXPENDING IN NEW CONSUMABLE GOODS AND NEW DRESSES, ENTERTAINING OURSELVES IN RESTAURANT, OUTING & ETC.  MANY PUJA ORGANISERS DID WASTAGE HUGE AMOUNT FOR THEIR THEME PANDELS.  

OUR SOCIETY IS COMPOSED OF TWO GREAT CLASSES ; THOSE WHO HAVE MORE DINNER THAN APPETITE, AND THOSE WHO HAVE MORE APPETITE THAN DINNERS.

SO WE THOUGHT TO SHARE SOME HAPPINESS AMONG THE POOR AND STREET CHILDREN WHO ARE COMING TO OUR EDU-CARE PROJECT.  

WE HAVE DECIDED TO GIVE NEW DRESSES TO THESE CHILDREN ON 18TH SEPTEMBER, 2011 WHO ARE STAYING IN THE PAVEMENT AND TRY TO LEARN SOMETHING THROUGH OUR EDU-CARE PROJECT.

WE HAVE CELEBRATED 15TH AUGUST WITH THE STUDENTS OF OUR EDU-CARE PROJECT. WE HAVE ARRANGED A DRAWING AND RECITATION COMPETITION AMONG THE STUDENTS TO BUILD THEIR SELF CONFIDENCE.

THEY SONG OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM . WE HAVE ALSO ARRANGED THEIR TIFFIN AND LUNCH. WE HAVE GIVEN THEM PRIZES ACCORDING TO FIRST, SECOND AND REST CONSOLATION . ONE OF OUR WELL WISHER SPONSORED THEIR LUNCH AND ONE OF OUR MEMBER SOUMEN DEY SPONSORED THE CONSOLATION PRIZES. THE PROGRAM HAS ENCOURAGED THE STUDENTS AND BUILT THEIR CONFIDENCE.

WE SHALL DO MORE PROGRAMS IN FUTURE WITH THEM TO MAKE THEM HAPPY AND TO CREATE MORE SELF CONFIDENCE.

ON 15TH AUGUST AT 10.00 am WE ARE CELEBRATING THAT DAY WITH A PROGRAM FROM OUR EDU-CARE PROJECT A DRAWING COMPETITION, A RECITATION COMPETITION AMONG THE STUDENTS OF OUR PROJECT.

WE HAVE ALSO ARRANGED LUNCH FOR THE STUDENTS. ONE OF OUR WELL WISHER IS DONATING THE AMOUNT TO OUR ORGANISATION FOR ARRANGING THIS LUNCH . WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR THIS DONATION .

Les galopins de Calcutta, une association pour aider les enfants des rues

The Representative and Administrator of Les Galopins de Calcutta, the Organisation which operates from France had come to visit our Edu-care project of Sukhe Dukkhe Organisation in our Registered Office. Mr. Sohail Anwar Ansari came and discussed on various matters about our projects and their operations about their projects. They arrange many visits of foreigners, familiar to them, who come to Kolkata and arrange their visits to different NGO so that they can help . Mr. Ansari is very happy with our Edu-care project, and promised to help as far as possible and tag us with their foreigner visitors list.

HELP RECEIVED FOR EDU-CARE PROJECT.

Sri Ramit Dey has donated 8 pcs umbrellas for the students of our Edu-care project. The students were facing problems to attend the classes in this rainy season. 4 more umbrellas are required and those will also be arranged by us.

EDU-CARE PROJECT HELP

IN OUR EDU-CARE PROJECT WE ARE TEACHING 25 STUDENTS WHO ARE COMING FROM BELOW THE POVERTY LINE. THEY ARE STAYING IN THE TEMPORARY LOW HUT SITUATED ON THE BANK OF THE CANAL AT NORTH KOLKATA, SHYAMBAZAR. EVEN THEY HAVE NO SUCH GOOD DRESSES WHICH THEY CAN WEAR, THEY HAVE NO UMBRELLA SO THAT THEY CAN TAKE PART IN OUR CLASSES AT THE TIME OF RAINING, THEIR SCHOOLS ARE ALSO VERY LOW RANKING AND DUE TO LACK OF FINANCE THEY COULD NOT ADMIT IN A GOOD SCHOOL.

MANY STUDENTS ARE WORKING PART TIME IN THE HOUSES OF WEALTHY PERSONS FOR THEIR SOME LIVELIHOOD. IT IS OUR CHALLENGE TO GIVE THEM PROPER TUITION SO THAT THEY CAN MOVE TO THEIR AIM. WE HAVE COLLECTED SOME USED DRESSES FROM OUR WELL WISHERS AND DISTRIBUTED THEM, WE HAVE MORE INTENTION BY GIVING THEM LEARNING EQUIPMENTS SUCH AS GUIDE BOOKS, EXERCISE BOOKS, PEN, PENCILS AS WELL AS UMBRELLAS SO THAT THEY DO NOT ABSENT IN RAINY DAY.

WE HAVE SHORTAGE OF TEACHERS, NOW, WE, THREE OR FOUR MEMBER VOLUNTEERS TEACHING THEM. WE HAVE LACK OF PLACES . ONE BATCH READING IN THE OPEN SKY AND ANOTHER IN A SMALL ROOM IN THE REGISTERED OFFICE. DUE TO LACK OF FINANCE WE COULD NOT HIRE ANY PARA TEACHER AND COULD NOT TAKING ANOTHER PLACE NEAR OUR LOCATION. WE NEED SOME MONEY FOR PURCHASING THREE EMERGENCY LIGHTS FOR FREQUENT CURRENT DROP, ONE FAN, TWO SMALL TUBES FOR OPEN SPACE TEACHING ROOM. WE ALSO NEED SOME MONEY FOR GIVING ELDER GIRL STUDENTS SOME DRESSES WHICH ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM OUR WELL WISHERS.

I HOPE THOSE WHO LOVE TO DO SOMETHING FOR THE POOR PEOPLE IN OUR SOCIETY WOULD EXTEND THEIR HELPS FOR THIS NOBLE CAUSE.

Today our program at Volananda Bridhyashrom (Old Age Home) is successful. Many participants have attended this program. As committed, we have given them 41 pcs. Bed Sheet and 15 pcs. Mosquito net. We have also arranged their lunch.

AGAIN OUR PROGRAM TO VOLANANDA BRIDHYASHRAM, BARRACKPORE

Again we are going to help the inhabitants of Volanada Bridhyashram . In the month of May, 2011 we shall go there to gift them Bed Sheet, mosquito-net and sweet . If any one wants to help in this matter please don't hesitate to contact our Secretary. Details are in the CONTACT page. Your valuable help can spread a smile in their agony.  

We are very much grateful to all our members and well wishers who have extended their helping hand to this Organisation. Without their help we could not forward a step towards our journey.
Very soon, we shall inform our long term project which is working on the basis of our previous decision. We can also hope from our members and well wishers the same cooperation whatever they have extended in our early programs and activities.
